Material Characterization

The knowledge of material properties at realistic conditions is essential for the success of European space projects. ET EnergieTechnologie offers independent specialized material testing services that can be used to map the conditions occurring in liquid hydrogen or high pressure storage systems as well as propulsion systems.

Testing Methods:

  • Tensile test
  • Fatigue test
  • Creep test
  • Hydrogen embrittlement
  • Fracture mechanics
  • Other methods on request

Testing Range:

  • -253 °C (20 K) – 327 °C (600 K)
  • 1 bar (0.1 MPa) – 1050 bar (105 MPa)
